Flower Power? really? how about Brutal Killing Machine of Doom? I had a cat we fondly referred to as Poskim, which was short for "Piece of shit killing machine". Her real name was "Wookie", and my mom insisted on calling her "Zelda". She died young. So what if we name it Piece of Shit Killing Machine?

Okay peeepl... The dude who's selling the BikeCar (Anthony) has a pickup truck and he will be swinging by the Marina sometime this week, so he's willing to drop it off. He lives up in Tarzana/Woodland Hills which sounds far as hell to me.
Is the BikeRoWave officially a non-profit organization? If not, can we produce some kind of paperwork that shows him that we're at least "not-for profit"?
Alex, Kieron, Paul, we'll have discuss how to get your $$$ to me.

Mihai, currently BRW is not officially non-profit. We are however in the process of deciding whether we should become a co-op or a 501c3. I don't think we really have any paperwork to prove that we're not for profit. Maybe a postcard or our website?
Wasn't it listed for $900? If he's only giving us $100 off I wouldn't think he would care about the non-profit thing...or is he giving us a better deal than $800?
Also, can Chris ride in the Crutch Mobile at CRANK MOB?

I sent him a link to the BikeRoWave "About" page. I'm fairly certain he'll be okay with the "not-for-profit" status, after all, he is trying to get rid of the damn thing.
The BikeCar is in riding condition, four adults + two toddler seats in the front. It has 16.5" diameter wheels, and supposedly the headlamps are pedal powered and should be working as well. He's dropping it off at my place on Santa Monica and 12th St on Tuesday. I have a covered parking spot, so I can keep it here for a while until we figure out where to store it, I just need some extra U-locks + cables to secure the wheels.

there are some (2?) medium heavy cables at the BRW, in back, i think, no locks though. If you need I can borrow some plain ol' chain. Let me know in advance if you need .
does this thing come with a bike rack?

just guessing, but you guys are probably going to have to change the gearing in a major way if you want to keep up with the group. even then it might be tough-you aren't really in a good pedaling position, and turns are going to be treacherous as fuck.

we can upgrade each set of cranks w/ it's own derailleur and shifter under the seat of each pedaler.
