This guy is going to be missed. His legacy will remain in this era of cyclists for many more decades to come. Everybody knows about Sheldon Brown and has referred to his site.

I just wanted to add that I was happy to find such old school unique parts on their website. I even ignored their lack of usability and overall layout shittines, and went ahead and placed an order. However, I don't think I can give Harris Cyclery business again, they're way behind in customer support, order tracking, etc.
I wish newegg carried hard to find bike parts....
The days of local bike shops running online catalogs are over. I too gave them some business but it was frustrating.

Unsuper duper fuckingbelievable, they actually blocked my super duper fucking email address. What a bunch of old ass stuck up losers. Fuck all old stuck up Massachussettss cyclists with sub-par-Geocities-1974 website design skills.
Just because they're not very technically savvy doesn't mean that they're stuck up. Never attribute to malice and all that. They're a small bike shop that happens to have a small online presence... And if they did "block your super duper fucking email address", maybe it's because you were being rude and obnoxious.

Hi Mihai,
You are not an ass, you are ignorant. Thats okay, I've been and I'm sure remain I'll remain ignorant about lots of things before I turn to dust. Sheldon Brown's internet presence, and willingness to engage in e-commerce, although in a way quaint by 2008 standards, has been and will always remain cutting edge. Sheldon Brown defined accessibility to technical information on the internet in a way that was not only a gift to all of us, but on a particular level, what seemed to me to be a deeply held personal expression of gratitude for humanity. Look closely and you may find that everything good about us was deftly expressed by a man who simply and plainly shared his enthusiasm and gratitude for life not by making grandiose gestures, but by showing all of us what it means to live well, fairly, and happily, just for the sake of just doing it. Sheldon Brown was and remains an extraordinary example of the decent human being that many us aspire to be, whether we were obsessing about stupid little bicycle parts, or about planning to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Sheldon Brown was a lightpost, a safe haven, and a genuine human being. I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to appreciate him. May we all be lucky enough to pass on to others, what he so generously gave to us.

Yo Mihal- Do us all a favor and go start a "Harris Cyclery sucks cock. They couldn't figure out what the super duper fucking UCLA zip code is so they gave up on shipping my Euro to American bottom bracket adapter. I sent them the super duper fucking google maps link to where the fuck they were supposed to ship the super duper fucking $30 package." thread on the forum. Then you can leave THIS one the fuck alone.
I don't know the details, but usually when you order something you give them the zip code. Plus this thread is here to talk about Sheldon Brown and his mechanic history, not the intricacies of ordering bike parts over the internet from a little shop in Massachusetts.
