i wouldn't necessarily call it cancer.

it's attracting a different demographic to a different type of bikes...

if we are going medical analogies.... i'd say this was more like:  diabetes.

controllable. not life threatening, but needs to have an eye kept on it.

Cmon now, do you guys realize the cost savings such wheels provide?  Why buy ZIPPs when you can just tape up the spokes for decreased drag?

All jokes aside, I'll support pretty much anything that gets other demographics into cycling.  Speaking of demographics, I think we have a better chance to get people that live south of Wilshire to give up their cars rather than those that live (cough) north of Wilshire.  We should treat the BikeRoWave like any normal business and target those communities that we feel are closer to "the switch".  Marketing campaign time.
