Bike to Work Week events

Today: Rail and Trail Day. 10 a.m. at at Depot Park for a train ride to Felton and a 8-mile ride back down to Santa Cruz.

Sunday: Beginner mountain bike ride. 9:30 a.m. at Wilder Ranch. Learn to safely ride a mountain bike. Also Sunday: an intermediate/advanced mountain bike ride, 9:30 a.m. at Soquel Demonstration Forest parking lot at Highland Road, past the Summit Store.

Monday: Global Warming and Local Cooling Solutions conference. 6 p.m.at the Louden Nelson Center Auditorium, 301 Center Street, Santa Cruz.

Thursday: Bike To Work Day.

Saturday, MAY 19: Cycle-Logical Bike Art Parade, 10:30 a.m. along Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz.

Sunday, MAY 20: Kid's bicycle safety obstacle course, 10:30 a.m. at Bicycle Trip, 1127 Soquel Avenue, Santa Cruz. Also Sunday: Bike Fest, including a Bicycle And Skateboard Stunt Show, Noon-3 p.m. at Bicycle Trip, 1127 Soquel Avenue, Santa Cruz.
