What does everyone think about having another tall bike building session at the BRW at noon, Sunday the 27th?

Many, many people are interested. I think it'd be a great opportunity to have another class at the same time. Perhaps wheel-building?

BRW bbq?

Either Art or Alec were telling me about a place in downtown somewhere that sold adequate tubing. I would be willing to make a trip out there in my truck with a capitol investor.

I am so ready to build a tall bike.  Count me in for the 27th.  I am not sure if this is what Franz is wanting to build, but we should have taxi carts that can latch onto the the back of the tall bikes, of course keeping mind for safety.

Franz this can be your new occupation, a tall bike taxi cyclist along the venice walk.  No doubt you could make some good wrinkly smelly cash.

I am SOOOO happy that everyone is so jazzed about doing another workshop!
Loving the idea of more BBQ's and bevs etc., it would be the perfect compliment to sparks and molten metal!

Regarding the time on Sunday, I wouldn't be able to attend until after 12:30pm (tennis) but I'm sure you can all get going ahead of time without me (consult w/Gern or Franz re this point)

Regarding sources for bitchin' tubing, I have two for you's guyz:

Industrial Metal Supply (burbank):
New, in-stock varieties of Cro-Mo & other Hi-Ten steel tubing. Clean, neat, organized, easy.
   http://www.imsmetals.com/location/sunvalley.htm

Bobco Metals (downtown)
Some new, lots of old-rusty-scraps too. Must see. Crazy yard action. Rough, but fun!
   http://www.bobcometal.com/contact.htm

Regarding sources for 'Cheap' bikes/frames etc, I highly recommend Propertyroom.com
It's kinda far to drive (40minutes each way if departing at 10am) but totally worth it.

Once you've logged onto the website, select "Bicycles" for the category, and P L E A S E ! -
then make SURE you've selected "City of Industry, CA area" before you start searching or bidding.  (you don't want to be bidding on a 'lot' of 12 bikes for $25, and end up having to pay $300 in shipping from Fla or NY !!)  Let me know if NE1 is going to do this! ..and let us all know his/her identity so that we don't "bid-against" our selves.

If anyone is seriously considering bidding on a "lot" of several bikes, perhaps BRW can be involved in the purchase in some way ??  (something to bring up amongst ye-selves)

I hope i've covered evrythang.

Buildbikes!

Well, if you're really super interested there is a woman who is part of SWARM named Megan who has professional training in this.  Get enough people together and maybe she would teach us some tricks.

Is there a way someone can inform her about our plans on the 27th?

Also, BunnyBubbles, talk to Brassnuckle about your frame building interests. He and Mook are planning on starting a "scene" fab shop. Apparently Mook has all the jigs necessary.

I was going to say there are quite a few people I've heard express an interest, however I was too lazy to hit reply at the time.
