jesus - this is supposed to be like the last 100 of the double . . . I'm entering into it with 200M on my legs Tuesday to Saturday . . . I don't know if I can handle that much climbing under those conditions.  What's that section that looks like it goes on the 101?

This is what I ended up taking:

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1037436

Ryan and Jesse left at the top of Sepulveda pass.  As you can see we took a wrong turn off Muholland and bit off an extra piece of the valley . . . I started to doubt myself that Muholland Hwy would hit Ventura Blvd so we took a series of streets down to the 101.  Big mistake.  The Gmap here gives 99.87 but my odometer read 100.04 and the Gmap is cutting corners off like crazy - especially in the mountains.

BTW - when I came down from Muholland Dr I took Laurel Canyon Blvd.  Never ride Laurel Canyon.  It's extremely dangerous.  It is grooved concrete so your wheel will track funny during descent and it's old so there are huge cracks which will eat your wheel or grab your wheel and turn it.  Moreover the drivers are extremely aggressive and impatient even if you're descending quickly - for example the driver of the black prius who passed me on the inside when I was wide on a curve and hit my brakes.
