Do these actually exist?  I found a couple of versions but reviewers said they fell apart if you put your foot down at more than 2 stop lights on your commute.  Since I am not great at track standing, I need something more durable.  Anyone got any suggestions?

I have not found them to exist either. I looked before touring, found nothing that great, and was glad not to have squandered the money.

grocery bag under socks, grocery bag over socks, grocery bag over shoes, wool socks and shoes that dry fast (stuff newspaper in them when you stop). I found a pair of shoe covers in the $2 bin that I can test, does you haz hose?

I actually have a spare pair that i picked up while in Portland (I forgot to bring the ones i had, when I went).  I'd be willing to sell them to you for a low, low price, my friend.

I did just buy a pair of Showers Pass ones but if you have something of superior quality for cheapish then I could return them...  Brand, model, and size?

They are Sugoi and they fit me, which means they fit you.

I'll part with them for whatever amount you want to pay.  Two pairs of weather booties won't see much use in LA.
