Location: City of Santa Monica, California
Patrols on foot and/or bicycle the downtown business district, adjacent City parking structures, alleys and streets.
Checks stairwells, elevators, restrooms and lobbies for unauthorized persons or activities.
Reports suspicious persons or activities to Police Department and requests Police assistance.
Reports hazardous, unsafe or irregular conditions within the patrol area.
Monitors police radio calls and responds to situations as directed.
Assists police officers with arrest, crowd control, and other emergency and non-emergency situations.
Resolves non-violent disputes and other minor disturbances.
Issues parking citations.Interacts, provides information and direction, and assists the public and local merchants.
Prepares written reports.
Logs found property.
Utilizes a noise decibel meter to test noise levels.
Appears and testifies in court, as needed.
Follows all applicable safety rules and regulations.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
