What drew you to the B43 in the first place?

Last year I bought a pair of deep v's, which promptly got stolen about 2 weeks after later after locking my bike up on a busy street.  Since then, I've just been riding on the rims that came with my bike (I don't know what kind), but I've always intended to replace the deep v's.  A couple of weeks ago, someone stole my front wheel, so I used that opportunity to buy these b43's (as well as a cheap replacement front wheel off craigslist).  But then I got to thinking that, since I tend to leave my bike alone when I go out, these would probably also get stolen relatively quickly. That, coupled with my quasi-paranoia about the braking surface, has got me thinking about selling them for a less flashy set of rims.

I've been looking at the Alex DA28's and a couple of others.  You guys got any other recommendations?

I would recommend perusing the thread on properly locking up your bike.

Get a cable to go along with your U-lock and wrap it through your front wheel.  If you had a quick release skewer for those wheels (which I doubt you do as they are track-like) you could remove the wheel easily and lock it with the U-lock to the rest of the bike when you lock it up to something solid and walk away from it for long periods of time.

It seems more and more thieves are taking anything off a bike.  After all, one simply needs 3 allen wrenches and a 15 mm box wrench and just about any part of a bike comes off.

If you are constantly getting parts stripped off your bike, it's maybe time to have a second bike--the ugly functional bike--something with tape and rust and dents that looks like a turd, but really is a stealthy well tuned speedwagen beneath it's urban camo.
