REI bike corral is coming up soon. Please publicize so that we can get a good turn out.

Remember, those donating a bike to BRW at REI Manhattan Beach on those days can get a 15% off coupon good for purchase at REI manhattan Beach.

Can those members with access to BRW's facebook and other social sites make posts announcing the corral?

Publicized to the max.  Both facebook pages, our website, our newsletter (two times now), even yelp.

Now, we need volunteers.  And, if you got transpo; bike hauling vehicles.

Last time we did trader joes and the food truck that set up in the lot.  You can't beat REI either.  See Kwang in action servicing bikes in the warm summer sun.

So far(updated):

Saturday:
10-1 Raina, Steve, Jordan (?)
1-4  Raina, Isaac, Peter, Jordan (?)
Stand-by vehicles:  Ryan/Peter/Don
Sunday:
10-1 Steve, Enzo (?)
1-4  Steve, Enzo (?)
Vehicles?  Don?

I'll probably be there Saturday. But I don't think Raina will be there on Sunday because of the tour da arts.

Raina is already doing Tour Da Arts, yes.

I emailed the membership, with little response.

I'm sad we have so little commitment.  This is a huge way for us to generate a lot of revenue through donated bikes coupled with the great connection with REI.

Come help!

We received two car racks as donation last week.  Maybe those?  I wish I could help but I'm not really available at all this weekend.

those are in terrible condition, I hope someone has a triple I could borrow, I've found that you can fit the wheels in the car and then put like 5 bikes on the rack if they have good straps. What time should I be there?

I'd love to help transport bikes, but I may be working on Saturday. I won't know until late tomorrow. If I am available, I will help staff the event and move product on Saturday. I have my shift on Sunday.

I'll help with transporting bikes on Sunday. Enzo I'll bring a triple trunk rack for you if you haven't found one.

Consider me on call tomorrow, too, if there's a need for another truckload.

I'll be there Saturday, later shift, and I can use the powers of truck to transport bicycles.

Thank you all you guys and dolls who showed up for this.  Although it was a bit of bust on Sunday, we came away with some very sellable bikes on Saturday.

Peter Moore 9 hrs
Enzo L  4 hrs
Steve M 7
Raina S 6
Ryan A 3
Isaac S 3
Don S 4
Jordan 4

Although we only brought in one bike on Sunday, we did net a number of extremely nice bikes on Saturday including the entry level Giant and the pair of Univegas--which I now have an incredible respect for.

REI Manhattan Beach is a great host for this event and we are grateful.  Next, REI Santa Monica and maybe Performance bikes and Helen's.

Univegas were generally made by Miyata, right?
