I just picked up some shiny silver scouring pads at the 99¢ store and some blue zip ties. No one's gonna out do-it-yourself me!

Plus if any cars get too close my Brillo-pad grips will scratch their paint up.  Evil Biking with a vengeance!

We need to make this into a contest with categories including "ghettoest" and "most destructive." "Least practical" should also be in there somewhere.

Pretty sure these win for least practical and most self-destructive handlebar accessory:

Have you read the comments on that page? One reader likens that product to the Vietnam War. Finally, now I have a way to relate to my granddad!

I was just thinking yesterday about putting something spiky at the end of a yard stick in celebration and self-enforcement of the brand new law in New Orleans that drivers have to give cyclists 3 ft clearance when passing. I guess now I've got to one-up this guy!
