Hi! I am moving to LA in August.. I'm currently residing in the OC. I TOTALLY WANT TO GET INTO BIKING!!! But I KNOW NOTHING about it. It seems like SO much fun and with me moving to LA all by myself, I thought it would be a great way to meet new people. An old boyfriend is really into it, but I want to learn this without his help.. Can someone help me? I heard about Cubcamp? it sounds like sooo much FUN!

I know about the website... but I need to get to the point where I can ride with them.. that's my goal. I need someone to help me get there.. guide me through buying a bike! I wasn't kidding when I said newbie!

Hey why don't you come by the shop during open hours (see the front page www.bikerowave.org) and one of our volunteers can help you out. We've got a lot of bikes. Sure some of them may need some work but that just makes it more fun. So come hang out at the shop. I guarantee you'll meet at least a few cool people -- like yours truly -- who can point you in the right direction. |

I was there tonight. where were you? we set up a whole greeting committee of skilled bikers waiting to meet you. there was even a helium tank and a few dozen balloons... damn. maybe next time though you might not get the same fanfair...  hee hee. |

SORRY!!! Things have been hectic.. running back and forth from the OC to pasadena.. Good news though, I finally found an apartment in pasadena! Woo hoo. I will come tomorrow! FRIDAY! FOR SURE! I PROMISE! =)

Not that we don't want you, but wouldn't it make sense to go to a place closer to you, so you don't have to bike (or drive) all the way across town? Bike Oven and Bike Kitchen are both way closer. |

Sat: 1-5PM
We would love to talk to you and pass on all the Bike info we can, such as other locations, support, etc...

OOh. I work weekends.. I'll try monday then. and about closer places... THANKS! but I actually am going to be in Santa Monica alot.. and *crosses fingers* soon getting a job in the area too, so no sweat.. But I guess I'd be interested in hearing about other places to go to too.. (just in case I totally hate you guys!) jkjk.  ahh.. So... MONDAY! lol. |
