Peter, Steve, Gus, Robert, Raina, Dylan & Don... And others who can help, especially those with means to transport number of bikes.

You've all expressed an interest in volunteering to help staff the REI MB's Bike Corral on May 8 and 9, Sat and Sun. It is going to run from 10am - 4pm, so if you cannot be there the whole time, we can divide it into 2 shifts of 3hrs each. We would like to have at least 2 people at the booth at all times. I will be there Saturday wearing 2 hats (REI & BRW). Please let me know when you can help. If last year is any indication, we will be getting quite a few bikes as summer season starts. Spread the word. Donate a bike and get 15% off at REI MB coupon.

REI feels last year's event was enough of a success that they are promoting it at other stores this year. REI Arcadia, for example, is doing the corral with the Bike Oven.

Lucas, as our yet unconfirmed outreach coordinator, do you want to make sure that there are enough volunteer resources to go around? I think Richard Busby has another event going on Sat May 8.

I was under the impression it was well staffed enough.

Richard and I are handling the Santa Monica Festival.

I will be present for all shifts all weekend.  I might possibly have my drivers' license re-instated and my vehicle registration up-to-date by then... if so, I'd be able to transport +/- 3 bikes at the end of the day on my hitch rack.

I don't really remember which shifts I committed to before, but I'm planning on being present for both saturday shifts. I'll also be driving, and can fit 3-5 bikes in my car, depending on their state of assembly.

I'm good for one if not both shifts on Sunday.  I can bring my car and a bike rack that should be good for a total of maybe 5 bikes total (car and rack).

So, it's looking like this:
Saturday:
Steve M  (10-3)
Raina      (10-4)
Dylan      (10-4)

Sunday:
Don       (10-4)
Raina     (10-4)

I'd suggest an email, as there were others who raised their hands but aren't drifting on to this thread...

I'd already emailed to those who had originally volunteered.

I should be around to staff the booth or pickup bikes.  I can move 7-8 bikes.  Just give me a call or email if you need help.

It looks like we've got;

Saturday:
Steve M  (10-3)
Raina      (10-4)  (±3 bikes)
Dylan      (10-4)  (3-5 bikes)
Robert     ( 10-4 )  (10+ bikes w/truck)

Sunday:
Don       (10-4)  5 bikes
Raina     (10-4) ±3 bikes

Cole is available to either staff or haul bike (which day Cole?) (7-8 bikes)
Peter is available to haul bikes (both days) (4-5 bikes)

See you all there and big thanks for volunteering.

This is like volunteers volunteering so is that like volunteering squared, or volunteering times 2, or volunteering to the volunteering power?

Or the theta function, volunteer style?

If I haven't killed myself from all the JavaScript homework and all the BikroEvents by Sunday, I will help at the bike corral.

I'll probably be around Sunday so consider me on call, if you need more hauling capacity. I can take 6 or 7 bikes.
