Frame Size

I'm 5' 8" abouts and I'm guessing that I need a 54cm frame... Does this sound about true?
Anyways... I found an awesome bike, a fixie, that's 50cm... is this a bad idea to buy? I'm guessing the seat post can be adjusted higher and so could the handlebar stem...

Ride a 50 cm at a shop and see what you think. My prediction is (besides them laughing at you) is that your feet will hit the front wheel and you will not be able to get the seat high enough.
My wife is 5'7" though and rides a 52cm.
So who knows, everyones different. 54 sounds about right tho.
