EVERYBODY MUST COME.

We'll be meeting at Bikerowave at 7:30pm and riding from Bikerowave down through Venice to enjoy the Marina Del Rey FIREWORKS SHOW.  We'll be leaving Bikerowave at 8:00pm SHARP.

The streets around Venice Beach will be closed to car traffic so let's fill them with bikes!

We'll have a front-row view of the fireworks.  Bring earplugs.

Afterparty details are TBA but we're planning on doing one.  We just need a venue!

I recommend watching from the bridge. That way you're west of the fireworks so the prevailing winds blow the smoke east and the fireworks are more visable. However, since they close the bike path on the jetty in the afternoon, you have to ride south on Lincoln and turn west on Jefferson to get there. Still, I think it's worth the extra effort.

Yes but then we miss all the parties, bootleg fireworks and people riding all over the closed streets of Venice Beach and Marina Canals.

That's cool. I'm up for whatever. I'll hustle back to the westside after work today. Hopefully I can make it in time to join you guys.

Kieron, Kieron, Kieron...

This was such a fun event.  Thank you so much for putting it together.  From the beginning to end it was a purely enjoyable time and the fiesta at the end was perfect.

You rock.  Thanks for creating such a great opportunity to make new friends and lasting memories.

I'm just glad that your son is now "sexiest photo" on the Midnight Ridazz site!

He is?  Oh man.  Haha!  If this is an indication of is future, I am in trouble already!

Thanks again for such a fun event.  I really appreciated how (for the most part) we all stuck together.  I dragged 6 kids along with me who had never experienced a group ride and they were in bike heaven.  On 14th and Wilshire on my way over to the bbq at the bikrowave I ran into this remarkably cool couple (frankie and julian) who had taken their bikes on the bus from woodland hill so see the fireworks along the beach.  They asked me if I knew where the fireworks were happenin' and I told them all about the event(s!) I was heading towards and encouraged them to join me.
We stopped at a grocery store so they could bring some food and ale to contribute to the gathering and the rest is history.  They couldn't  have been more stoked if they tried.  Their night was easily 200% better for joining the traveling party and I got new family out of the deal.  As an added bonus, Frankie's bike needs all kinds of help and now they know about the bikerowave.

Anyhow, long ramble to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Kieron. This event rivaled the fun of the SMCM 2 year anniversary and the party after was definitely the greatest bike party I've been to yet.

Thank you thank you thank you for coming, Artemisia.  And thanks for bringing other cyclists along with you!  That was one of my hopes for this ride in particular, that other people on bikes would come and join us and we definitely picked up a lot of new people along the way.  I met a girl who moved here from Amsterdam five months ago and has an Amsterdam cruiser that needs some work so we'll probably see her in Bikerowave at some point soon.

Both you and Bodhi rocked the party(ies)!
