Hey y'all, I took a bunch of our non repair books and some bookends and set up a little makeshift library in our lounge:

http://www.bikerowave.org/2009/09/17/bikerowaves-new-library-donate-a-book/

I would love to see the library grow and mature so that people can come in, plop down, and read something cool.  I've donated a couple books I really like, and I noticed that one of them walked away.  Not that cool.  Hopefully it got read.

Anyway - we want small, quality donations, but not heaps of books.  If someone wants to donate a box of books, use your discretion - we totally don't need that kind of clutter right now.

Who's got a book to donate?  I recommend picking up the Monkey Wrench Gang and reading that if you have a minute, or if you're part of Bikerowave and want to make it better, Building Powerful Community Organizations is very helpful.

http://ejmas.com/jnc/jncart_channon_0200.htm - This needs to be added to the virtual library.

It's what happens when a Lt. Col. in the U.S. Military embraces the new age. Hilarity ensues.

For those in touch with the contextual Cannon of bike mech books, what's missing from our Alexandria? What should go on the wishlist?

I think we're set, given that the bike mech books remain largely untouched for days and weeks at a time.

A copy of Major Taylor's ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_Taylor ) autobiography "The Fastest Bicycle Rider in the World" would be pretty sweet though.

Added my DVD's of this years Tour de France to the Library.

Last years were at the old shop.  If you've seen 'em bring em back, so someone else can see Lance sweat....
