I have a "Stuff" issue

Hi Folks !
I ride this bicycle everyday at the beach and I really like it...but "the stuff" on the pictures bellow is not in line anymore with the chain...which cause all kind of power loss, poor performances and annoying noises or vibrations the more I apply torque on the bike.
Here it is -->

(Thanks for the Forum member who posted this link a while ago)
My Question Is:
For example if I order the part from Nashbar.com
what are the words and references I should use ?
Can I still find compatible standard parts for such old bicycle ?

Bring it in so you can try to get things cleaned and aligned first. It's hard to tell what parts you might need just from looking at the picture.
