Gern & Art Delivered a whole pickup-bed full of all kinds of assorted parts and things to the BRW today - Courtesy our good old buddy Cap over at Palms Cycle !

We will be picking up some more from Cap in the next week or so, (..he even hinted at possibly some whole bicycles !!) and a little bit more stuff from Bike Attack on Tuesday.

Anyone who's not busy please come in and make some time to help sort through what we received ( there's ALOT of it! )

Please don't forget to patronize the fine establishments Palms Cycle which go the extra mile and donate their stuff to Bikerowave Coop, Inc.  !!

Thank you for picking that stuff up.  Will help sort the remainder on Wednesday night.

I'll be opening the shop tonight, so I can begin the culling.  Something tells me it may be slow.  If any other members would like to come by to help out, that would be appreciated.  I know Erock is away.

Yes, please !  ANY AVAILABLE MEMBERS (volunteers) please help out over the course of this week with the sorting-through process, it will make the whole experience of being at Bikerowave better
for everyone.  (..if not only more walking-room in the shop!!)

I spoke with the folks at Bike Attack today, and they've delayed their 'donation' until tomorrow, so there will be a little bit of a break in the overwhelming onslaught of gobs of bike goodies...

...more is on the way, so let's make some room !

Please feel free to cull the suspension forks while you all are at it.

Nicolas and Aaron on Monday night made short work with much of it.  I think about all that's left to check out is the fenders which I'm on the fence about even keeping... Unless, we start putting fenders on everything (Hmm, that sounds like me--interesting...) No one has taken even a look at our dusty collection of fenders above the work bench--and that's since I've been involved in the BRW.

Oh--speaking of culling, did I mention how great it is to have the project bikes on the left and the available bikes on the right?  Nice work first shift/Saturday!

Nice work first shift/Saturday!

First shift/Saturday.  Needs new name, current name is not charismatic enough.  Maybe "Bear free shift", or "bearly hinged?"  "Caturday mourning?"

No, we like the understatement of First Shift/Saturday, although given the presence of the bike gurus KP and Steve M., on the following shift, maybe we should call it "Come back at 4."

I hope we can keep the project bikes on the left and the available bikes on the right though, as it makes them easier to sell.

Let's offer the fenders as a door prize to anyone who wants them on June 6th. Fenders with dubious hardware have all the makings of a perfect booby prize.

I bike the understated title as well.  Like "MI-5" it says, it's a department, yet watch out--they's gonna kick some ass.

I support all culling of suspension forks.  They need to go.  Except for that prototype Manitou, to the right in the separate bin, that looks like it was part of a transformer.  It has elastomers.  Elastomers were going to change the world like robots and Commodore computers.  I want to take it apart, clean it, replace the little red dot-like cushions and bring it back to life so once again it can sort of flex about 15 whole(!) millimeters.

No really, don't pitch the ancient Manitou.

(looking off into space, lost in nostalgia)

Fenders are rad. I'll be happy to take any that are culled.

They don't have anything for us right now.  We're currently on the "bottom of their priority list" so don't expect any donations from that direction for the moment, gang.

I would recommend that we turn our attention toward more supportive bike shoppies...

Keep all yer fingers crossed for more stuff from Cap at Palms Cycle tomorrow... !!

So we got the Palms cycle stuff huh, good, I hope they didn't remove too much good stuff from when we went over there on Saturday (they had accidently put some brand new wheels etc. in the alley!).  As a member of the early Saturday shift Come Back At 4 rings true but I also like Female Voulenteers Wanted or, Oh God, Oh God, I Just Screwed Up This Guys Front Hub, When Will Steve Get Here To Fix It?.
