Met this dude on my pedal to work this morning, he was riding a sweet roadbike with a classic look by the name of Blaze. Found out it's #4 that he's built in the line of starting his own bikebuilding company in Culver City, called Blaze Bicycles. Pierre's the dude's name.

Basic, barebones site:

Makes forks too. Spread the local love.

After reading this thread months ago I got in touch with Pierre about painting a bike for me. It took a while, but after all is said and done  I'm really happy with the result. Pierre is a great guy, easy going but committed to doing good work

I think he is willing to do a single color wetpaint for around 150/200, he's most  interested in building custom frames and can do repairs and brazing, I think his mininmum is 60 bucks for frame work. Don't quote me on his prices, as he's just starting out but as he gets more work the prices are sure to go up.

check out his flickr page for images of some of his work.

FYI: I rode the red bike he has on his page, and I haven't ridden a lot of really high end frames but that bike was super sweet, and demonstrated to me just what a steel bike could be, it kind of haunts me in fact
