Those comments ARE serious business.  How people not riding at a velodrome can take something as inherently silly as a fixed gear bike so seriously is beyond me.

bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com is the best.  If any of you don't read him, you definitely should.

update: the author of the article is now building his own fixed gear bike. he's hoping to find a junked frame, fix it up with a suicide hub and flop-n-chops and ride it around Barcelona in flip-flops and platforms pedals.  But if you can give him any advice, he'd love you to posit it on his blog, since after all, as an important Wired blog writer, he evidently can't use Google.


update 2: barcelona has a hill in it and he needs to know what gear ratio
