Just checked this out...

There's a few parts of the design that look questionable:

The frame and covers are Magnesium - a light flexible flammable metal.  Flaming bike anyone?  Shocked

The chain and motor are fully enclosed - how do you check it?  Maintaining the bike is not much of a factor in the design. Angry

And the maker's web page is really, really slow with too many pretty pix changes. I'm not waiting for this one...

While it is flammable, it isn't THAT flammable. It's mostly a problem when it's a dust or small metal shavings (which can be quite pyrotechnic).  There are more than a few cars on the road with magnesium engine blocks, valve covers, suspension components, and wheels. Also, there have been quite a few magnesium bicycle components--most high end suspension forks have magnesium lowers (and have for years), and there are some magnesium stems, handlebars and seatposts (mostly for mountain bikes).

there's a bike manufacturer in Israel that makes a bike with a magnesium frame...
