Bike talker, can you please post here, the scheduled topic and guest list for this weekend's show? I got your email and can use it as a template for the website posting, but it would be good to have it well documented here on the forum. I was thinking it might be fun, if possible, to try a "bike talk" type call in show--if that would be possible where a couple of wrenches troubleshoot problems with bikes, tell amusing anecdotes of bike history and repair. Maybe...

yeah, the idea where a couple of bicyclists talk about bikes the way the car talk guys talk about cars is the inspiration for Bike Talk. that's why its called Bike Talk. we need callers, though, and when they don't call we end up having these great discussions about advocacy, etc. with our guests. so, are we doing this?

forgot to mention: this week's topics will include "guerilla infrastructure," including do-it-yourself sharrows, the "festival of lights" exclusion of cyclists, the LA Bicycle Advisory Committee's recent meeting, and calls, calls, calls! oh, also the rash of thefts affecting bicycle messengers and other in L.A. also, racing. and a bicycle giveaway. and--?

Ooh, do it yourself Sharrows? So how come you guys didn't make a public comment at the LABAC meeting? I would love to speak on your show, but unfortunately I'll be up in SF this weekend.
If you can't get callers it might be a good idea to have a particular direction/set of questions set up for your guest speakers or pre-written reports of various current events (like the ones you listed on this week's topics).
Good luck, you guys are doing a great thing with this show!

Paula, the shared sharrows are the work of other people, I'm just reporting it... but some people who've done them may be at the show on Saturday...also the freeway riders, which is another guerilla activity.
