Hey There.
Admittedly, I haven't gotten over to BRW in a while. My gut and ever tightening pants confirm it. Either way...
If you're serious about raising money, and doing it without a ton of effort, check this out. CPK (yes, California Pizza Kitchen) has a program called "Philanthropizza" where 20% of receipts that present your flyer on a specific night are donated to the organization. I just coordinated this for another organization I'm involved with. Here's how it works:
- You contact the manager at the CPK of your choice.
- You choose an available date on their calendar.
- They create a flyer and e-mail it to you.
- You promote the hell out of that night to the folks involved with BRW. (Maybe set up a ride to the CPK. Everyone likes to eat, right?)
- Diners give the flyer to their server when they order.
- Receipts that present the flyer are tallied and 20% goes back to the organization in the form of a check a few weeks later.

Good thing: You can do this over and over, at the same location, or different locations. Schools do it, church groups, non-profits, so why not Bikerowave?
You just have to write a short note about the organization and fill out a W-9 and you're good to go.

I'm happy to answer any questions and/or help facilitate.

I will now necro this thread.

Bikerowave still needs t-shirts. But it needs these more:

That's right, people. Custom wool jerseys. Affordable custom wool jerseys. (see here on customization. Logos are also possible.)

I gotta say, a nice looking retro-design BRW merino wool jersey is a brilliant idea and with the 12-29 discount, it makes them reasonable.
I've been prattling on about wool jerseys for some time now...

Wool jerseys rule the school.

I'd be delighted to participate in a pilot buy to test the waters.

Good to hear the news on the t-shirt progress. I still have that chainwheel + rad symbol graphic if it's of any use. My hosting account is inactive at the moment, so it disappeared from upthread, but I can put it up somewhere again. It was pretty rudimentary tho, I'm sure whatever is in progress is better.
