Oh my god I need one!

Any idea about pricing?

I love being fixed but hate being single speed, which is why I took apart my fixed gear.

Pricing's expected to be in the $140 to $160 range.

Also, according to that article, SRAM's working on a hub that switches between fixed and freewheel operation.

Now if they can just figure out a way to do a locking/unlocking freewheel that works with modified derailers so we can have 30 speed optional fixed-gears (fixed for flat and uphill, freewheel for downhills), we'll be all set.

I'll settle for the fixed 3 speed.  I wonder how well it's going to work as a brake though.

Scott, you got me all excited like, thinking they'd come up with a 3 speed shifter. Hopes were dashed. But, I'm happy to see they have a thumbie that will work with road bars.
This was precisely my posting on the Sturmey Archer blog site.  Make them so they will fit road bars too!
Steve--you are so missing out.

My vote is for friction shifter mounted to down tube and secondly the bar con shifter.
