THIS is (almost exactly) how i got my expensive mountain bike... http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/bik/796028997.html Gone! (08/17)Nice shorty Spesh-o-lized Hardrock in yello & blak... ..it's in glendale, but it's way cheap!! PS: This person either sold his bike (cheap) and the guy who bought it is trying to 'flip' it for more cash... OR they realized it was a 'low-ball' deal, and they pumped the price up... !!?? Either way, it's now listed here for way too much money:
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/bik/801459094.html[/s] Gone!(again!) (08/23)..and he's BACK AGAIN !!? [09/11/08] (well.. some people never give up the ghost..!) http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/bik/837480737.html..in my opinion, he's asking too much for it now, but... you guys decide.!

Well, Freddiepoo ... (i still have a hard time saying that, even to myself, with a straight face !!) Since I just looked at it now (after 3:30p Sat)... ..and since it's ALREADY GONE... then i guess it would HAVE to have been !! Great job! (thanks... )[[ ps - only the author of a posting can "modify" their post, so.. since that bike's gone.. please go ahead and mark it as "Gone", or you can also remove it from the thread if you prefer. ]]

Kinda cool step through 18" Campania. Never heard of the brand, but the frame looks clean enough, and its a pretty blue. Drive train looks a little rusty in places, but that's easily sorted.
$75. West Hollywood.
Dropped to $65.

Again, a blue step through. Again 18''. Again maybe pricier at 150. Again a small picture so its hard to discern quality. But it's a pretty blue Schwinn! Los Feliz.Gone gone gone.

51 cm, Red, rear wheel needs trueing. I think the brand is SR, and quick google-research tells me that may or may not be the same SR as associated with Sakae Ringyo that is known for making components.
So, the bike looks decently clean, although there is supposed to be a dent on the downtube of which there is no picture. At 130, who knows if its a deal or not.
I must confess there is an ulterior behind this post (mine, not the CL one). This is not just to bring to your attention a potentially nice and cheap bike. It's also a plea. Please, someone who a little more time and money than I right now, go rescue this bike. It's been "converted" to singlespeed by removing the derailleurs, but the double cranks and cassettes are still on there. Someone please put the derailleurs back on, and also put the brake cable back. While the bike looks kind of cheery with its shiny wheels and bright red paint, it also looks sad, and somehow empty inside, stuck in some bike-identity-crisis-limbo.

Schwinn and Nishiki step-throughs. 90 for BOTH. Lawndale.Gone, but I'm pretty sure the Schwinn is still available for 50. I saw a separate post on this. Do your own sleuthing.
