Announcing the First BRW Summer Beach Party!

Do you like the BRW?  Are you a BRW member, volunteer, cool person, forum lurker, pro bike racer, tadpole breeder, PhD math nerd?  Are you looking for a way to get out of the Women and Mathematics EMS Conference (http://womenandmath.wordpress.com/2008/05/14/joint-ewmems-meeting-july-13th-2008/)? Oh, really, well, why don't you read on and see what you signed up for back in December when you got really drunk and woke up in a bath tub in Mexico with a strange scar on your side...

What: Beach Party Potluck! yeah!
Why: Because you're super duper fucking awesome, the BRW is super duper fucking awesome, the combination of the two is super duper fucking awesome, and you love math jokes (and strange forum admins)!!!
Theme: Math Jokes?! (are you serious?  Yes... We're serious!)

Meet at the BRW at 11am on Sunday July 13th for a quick group bike ride out to Venice beach and then some fun in the summer sun,  We live in LA people!  A pop-up tent and fun times will be provided, but it's up to you to bring yourself and a beach friendly potluck item!!!

Shazam!

At the request of the BRW, we will be meeting at the sandwich shop next door in the parking lot.  There is an event happening with one of the BRW's neighbors so they'd like us to keep the alleyway empty.

Either way this is all still going down!

Stevex3 and I had a wonderful day at the beach.  We also brainstormed for next months BRW beach event, expect it to be better, faster, stronger and definitely F.U.N.!

I tried to find you guys, but I was WAY late and the beach was a little too huge.  (Or were you guys at that EXACT gps location?  That would be way awesome (if I had a GPS).)

I thought you all might be the ones dressed as French people (men in berets, women in Marie Antoinette wigs), but such was not the case.

Make next month's better, faster, stronger and more easily visible from the bike path if possible.

Now if we can only get those pesky pedestrians off the bike path.
